A Gorgeous Fall Wedding in Cashiers: Where Blue Skies Meet Mountain Views
For Florence, the Chattooga Club is not merely a venue; it is location filled with memories. With deep family roots in the Cashiers area and summers spent at nearby Camp Merriwood, the setting was chosen to honor a lifetime of history in the High Country.
The celebration was defined by its “Blue and White” aesthetic, that mirrored the autumn sky. It was a day that prioritized presence over performance, grounded in the warmth of shared history.
The design philosophy was centered on family connection. The styling included heirloom pieces: bridesmaids wore hairpins crafted from the lace of the mother of the bride’s wedding gown, bridging generations.
Heirloom Details
Florence anchored her look with a dogwood pin belonging to her great-great-grandmothera namesake piece featuring a sapphire center that perfectly complimented the day’s palette.
The Guest Experience
As the autumn sun dipped behind the mountains, the atmosphere shifted from a bright garden ceremony to a cozy, spirited reception. Guests were cared for with thoughtful touches like warm throws and heaters, allowing the outdoor dining experience to remain comfortable with the mountain chill. The evening concluded with high-energy entertainment by Emerald Empire Band, proving that elegant traditions can still host a vibrant party.
