Tucked away in the mountains of Whittier, the timber-frame architecture of the venue provided a quiet, organic backdrop for a celebration focused entirely on their closest friends and family.
We approached this gallery with an editorial eye, focusing on the details that transformed the space, from the structural florals to the clean, modern lines of the couple’s attire. It is proof that when the guest list is curated, the experience becomes richer.
A Design Rooted in Nature The aesthetic was grounded in a timeless palette of crisp whites and deep forest greens, mirroring the natural surroundings of the Blue Ridge. The bride wore a structural sheath gown featuring detachable sleeves, a design choice that allowed for a seamless transition from ceremony to reception. The groom complemented the aesthetic in a classic white dinner jacket, adding to the narrative in timeless elegance.
Intention and Connection The timeline was designed to prioritize quiet moments over performance. Before the ceremony, the couple shared a private “first touch” to exchange personal vows, bridging the distance without breaking tradition. The ceremony itself was officiated by their former professor, adding a layer of personal history to the proceedings.
The Golden Hour As the sun dipped behind the ridge, we utilized the natural elevation of the estate for a portrait session that captured the raw, golden light of the mountains. The evening concluded with an intimate dinner service and heartfelt toasts, celebrating a union rooted in faith and shared legacy.
